Focus in Rugby Union:
Our Focus software is now used by coaches and educators in more than 30 countries around the world, providing powerful analysis capability designed to enhance the development of individual, unit and team performance.

The high cost of analysis systems (anywhere between €1,000 and €10,000) has meant that access to this invaluable technology has largely been limited to those coaches working at the elite levels of the game

Our aim is to make this video analysis technology accessible to coaches at every level - providing invaluable visual feedback opportunities to enhance the development of our young players at Grassroots level, right up to the powerful analysis functionality utilised by those working at the competitive Club and National team levels of the game.

There are now versions for both the PC and Mac and we have recently launched Focus X2i, the world's first fully interactive video analysis and visual feedback app for the iPad.

Focus and the IRB:
The IRB recognises the crucial role that performance analysis has on our ability to develop individual, team and coaching performance and is committed to making invaluable video analysis and feedback technology available at an affordable cost.

We are therefore delighted to announce that through this unique agreement, the powerful Focus X2 and X2i analysis software is now available at the hugely discounted cost of €75 to everyone involved in the game - from IRB Trainers and Coach Educators, to Coaches, Players and Parents.

This gives you a 12-month license to use the software and is renewable at the same €75 rate each year, although there is no obligation to do so.

Focus on different platforms
As well as having a Windows version of Focus X2, we have now released a Mac version for the first time. We have also developed Focus X2i, the world’s first fully functional video analysis and visual feedback solution for the iPad! This unique coaching tool lets you use the iPad camera to capture video and ‘tag’ key events, or to import other game or training footage via iTunes ready to be analysed.
